Our job for your company includes:

1. Web Design:
Optional, dependent upon your contract. This is laying out the information you give us so it is accessible on the website for the world to see. Putting the graphics and text into html format. This often includes creating graphics, and an original custom design just for your company.

2. Search Engine Optimization*
Basic service is free with web design contract. This means making your pages easy for the search engines to find.

This includes several jobs:

    1. Meta tags special html code inside your pages. 2. Accessibility Arranging the text and photos on the pages in such a way as to be accessible to the search engines. 3. Keywords Inserting them into the page in many different areas of that page to give you the best possible ranking. 4. Title Making a relevant title for each page, so you'll be found more often, according to the key phrases you give us.

*Note: Being reliant on the search engines to bring you business is not a good idea as they can change the way they display results at any time and have no obligation to your company.

Not Included in our General Services:

1. In Depth Web site Promotion Analysis
Web site promotion means driving traffic to your site. When we submit your site to the search engine, that is all we do for the basic service. We put a significant effort into the search engine optimization but evaluating the efficiency and discovering new ones over time is beyond the scope of "design and hosting". There is however a daily statistics report you can watch to see how you are doing with most packages.

2. Amount of Visitors to Your Site / Site Popularity
We can give you advice on how to get more visitors; add more text! This is actually a business planning activity. Your company needs to monitor your web site and see what people are interested in, and why they do come to the web site. This can also be affected by the competition in your area of business. The information in the stats program can be used to guide all the areas of your business, not just your web site.

3. Key Phrases
Key Phrases are the actual words a person would type into a search engine to find your web site. Example: 'web master for hire' might bring you here to this site.

We normally do this for you, but you may want to do it yourself. We hope you would make your own key phrases ranked in order of importance.

Key phrases should be in the body of your site content as well. If you find you are not coming up under a certain phrase, then you can change your key phrases, however we CANNOT predict how any outside search engine is going to list your site.

4. Public Relations Resulting in More Sales
This is what an advertising agency or public relations firm can do for you. We can make suggestions and try to be helpful, but it is not the service we are selling. However, the statistics page can be very useful to you in this. Use it to gather information and insight about your customers.

5. Policing your Site / Content Management
When you give us material for your web site it is your responsibility to ensure that it is correct, free from copyright infringement, and relevant. Although we make every effort to use spell check and proofread your materials, this alone is not sufficient. Just as it is in any other publishing business, the production of a professional web site requires careful proofreading and an "editors eye". The merchantability and fitness of your site content is also your responsibility.

6. Writing Copy
We can help edit your copy correcting for grammar and spelling, but we generally do not write it unless you hire us to do so.

7. Taking Photos
We do not take on site photographs, but can in most instances make a recommendation to you for a professional in your area.
